Intro
Bolton’s Drug Action Team, and local drug services, recognise that talking to service users about their experiences of treatment and involving them in the planning and development of drug services is really important.
Service user groups can also be an important part of treatment. They are an opportunity to meet others in the same situation and get support, they provide a social experience with events and trips out, and they can provide learning opportunities. The B.U.G.S. group have music workshops and have developed their own website which the group maintains.
Service user representatives also attend local and national meetings and conferences, to talk about their views and find out about what is happening in other areas.
The following pages give details about how the groups can be contacted.
